Synopsis


Jane Eyre. a sweet 10 year old girl, went to live with the Reed family, her uncle`s house. Jane was intense and didn´t let her spirit be broken despite the abuse she received. She went to a school where there were a lot of different students. When she was sad Miss Temple took her and her friend Helen to have a talk. It´s there that she found her friend was ill. When spring came, a disease arrived which caused a lot of infections in the istitution. Jane was healthy so she could go out, but she missed her friend who was in bed because of the tuberculosis a lot. One night, she couldn´t sleep so she went to see Helen, who died that same night. Jane continued in school until she was 16 and two years more as a teacher. Months later, Jane notified her aunt that the next day she was going to Thornfield. She wanted to explore the surroundings. She went to Mr. Rochester´s mansion. They talk very often and this is how she started to feel something new and special in her heart. Jane tried to get all those thoughts of her and for a while, she didn´t hear from him. Suddenly, a woman who knew how to tell fortunes arrived. She asked Jane about her past and present feelings. When Jane was about to go, she told her that her future was a bit confused. The wedding day arrrived and when they where about to marry everyone noticed that Mr. Rochester had married before. Jane felt alone, and all she wanted was to disappear. Rochester didn´t allow her to leave and he proposed her to run away with him. But she left alone. After several years, she recovered and she found a job as a teacher. This wasn´t sufficient to forget Mr. Rochester but she decided to continue working there. One day, Jane heard a very strong inner voice that caused her to return to the mansion to see Mr. Rochester. Finally, Jane married the man of her life and lived a happy live.


Personal Opinion


Jane Eyre is an interesting book due to the determined attitude of the protagonist, who, despite the adversities, had never lost faith. It is very easy to read and the story makes you get into the book.
