Synopsis
In 1942, Anne Frank decided to write everything she had done in that day on a diary. She turned thirteen when World War II in Europe was at its peak. She was surprised by the gifts her parents gave her but also scared about what would happen in those days. The German police, wanted to kill every Jew in town, and her family was Jewish. Everything changed before August 1 of 1944 year. Some days before her family and four other Jews were arrested by German police. The 1942 was the year in which Frank's family was looking for a place to hide with more people. ´Travis Company´, where Anne´s father has been working, had a secret Annex. This was behind a book case that could be pulled out to see the staircase it hide. Some years later, they were arrested in the Annex. Somebody must have told them that they were hiding there. Anne´s mother died in the Auschwitz concentration camp. Anne and Margot were taken to a concentration camp too were they died from an illness attack. But Otto, her father, was the only one that survived. He moved to Amsterdam again and he started a new life with another woman. He spent the rest of his life sharing the message of Anne´s diary!
Personal Opinion
I love this story. It´s the first time I read it and now is one of my favorite books. This girl was so strong at her age. The best part is that thanks to her we know more about the World War but from another perspective.
