Frankenstein-Mary Shelly

Synopsis

Robert Walton, captain of a ship headed for the North Pole, was soon interrupted by seas files with a huge ice. In that moment, Walton meets Victor Frankenstein, who has travelled by dog sledding across the ice. Walton takes hin on board and he listens to the story of the monster Frankenstein. Victor had studied Philosophy of Nature and Chemestry at university and he managed to discover how to give life to a body. But later he would regret it and he would be horrified to see what he had created. Once he returned from Geneva, he knew that his younger brother William was murdered. One of the servants from the Frankenstein family was accused, so she was executed, but Victor sensed that it was his own creation that killed him. Victor decided to go to The Alps to clear his mind. But there, he met the monster, who conffessed that he was the criminal. The monster also asked Victor to create him a friend to be no longer alone.

Personal Opinion

This book is a classic one and also is considered a horor book, but I feel that is more a sad book, because the monster did all of those bad things, such as killing people, because he was all time alone. I also became frustrated whit Victor Frankenstein becuse he was an arrogant person. I don't think that this book is one of my favourite ones but I would recommended it to people o have more literatury culture.
