A Dream Come True by Elspeth Rawstron

 Synopsis:

I feel that Bianca’s mom behaved inappropriately when it comes to their relationship. Bianca thinks that her mom is dead but her mom is Lara Lane , a famous singer. When they meet on an occasion, Lara behaves like she doesn't know her and she addresses her as if she was a stranger. From my point of view a characteristic or element that will continue to be relevant in the future is corruption. Corruption is something that has existed, exists, and will exist without minding where and when we are. In the story, corruption is given when the 2 men steal the earrings which cost 100000. When Tanya finds these in the factory she keeps them and the 2 men find them and threaten her with a gun. I think that the author does an effective job describing the part when Tanya finds the earrings and Dan tells her not to take them because they weren't her belonging . This is because she uses a lot of adjectives to describe the success. If I could ask something to the author it would be: why doesn't he end the story by Tanya and Dan falling in love or kissing each other. I'm not sure about what the response would be but i believe the answer would be that that success is typical to happen in all stories and that he considered more predominant giving importance to the final relationship between bianca and her mom.

Personal Opinion

When it comes to the reading I liked the fact that the story happens in a different environment or place compared to all the other American stories( it happens in an Abandoned Factory where there are lots of mysterious rooms). However, I dislike the fact that Lara’s manager, Sam Sinclair, accepted that Bianca would be the singer of the band even though Tanya was better for the only reason that Bianca's father wanted. I didn't like it because the author is not showing the readers that against blackmailing in some aspects you have to put an end or recent it even if there will be consequences. Otherwise, you enter into a vicious circle which you will never get out of it.
