In "Jane Eyre" Mr. Rochester acts inways that are both expected and unexpected. At first, readers may yhink of him as a mysterious and romantic hero But hthen he reveals a secret about his past that shocks readers and changes their perception of him. Furthermore, his behavior towards Jane, especially before marriage, is not what one would expect from a couple. Jane Eyre" talks about things that still matter today and in the future. The most relevant is feminism; the novel explores themes such as gender equality, women's rights, and overcoming the obstacles women face. These themes are central to discussions of gender roles and women right's. Here's a passage from "Jane Eyre" where Charlotte Brontë effectively describes the setting: "In the depth shade, at the farther end of the room, a figure ran backwards and forwards. What it was, whether beast or human being, one could not, at first sight, tell: it grovelled, seemingly, on all fours; it snatched and growled like some strange wild animal: but it was covered with clothing, and a quantity of dark, grizzled hair, wild as a mane, hid its head and face." This part really makes you feel the spooky atmosphere inside Thorfield Hall. The writers uses words like "depth shade" to make you feel tense. The way the author writes makes you feel like something mysterious is about to happen. If I could interview Charlotte Brontë, i would ask her for "Jane Eyre," her intentions behind Jane's character, how she created the atmospheric settings and why she think people still read the book. Her answers would help poeple to understand how she wrote the story.
PERSONAL OPINION
I particularly like the way she writes and describes either the charcters or the setting in a detailed manner. Additionally, this book is written in the first person and what bothers me the most in books is that I don't like books written in the third person, therefore, it is a characteristic of the book that I like.
