Synopsis
Antonio is a young man who loves to travel the world and get to know different cultures. One day, he receives a call from an old friend, Jason, telling him that he had gone to live to New York and that he was working as a writer in a New York magazine. Jason reminded him of the promise they made last time they met. When the race was over, Jason promised Antonio that when he lived in New York, he would be able to go to his house whenever he wanted because Antonio had wanted to go to New York since childhood. Jason told him that now that he had an apartment, it was the perfect opportunity. Antonio told him to give him a couple of days to think about it and when he made the decision he would call him. Antonio was doing the math to see how many days he could spend with the money he had. After doing all the calculations, the money that had in NY including all his savings gave him only for two days, but in two days it was impossible to fulfill his dream of visiting all New York. So he thought he had to get more money come what may, and he came up with the idea of negotiating with the publishing house that he currently was working on, the raise his salary in exchange for Antonio could not believe that his dream as a child was being fulfilled. On the trip he met a man that accompanied him to the apartment where Jason lived. When he arrived at the apartment, Jason welcomed him with open arms and after the meeting, they went to make a short visit the city . In those two weeks, Antonio met Jason’s friends, who accompanied him to visit different places in New York and also taught him the traditions of New York.
Personal Opinion
I personally have loved this book because it has given me the opportunity to know different things about New York as its traditions, places and the way of being of its inhabitants. I definitely recommend this book to anybody that likes travelling and learning things about other cities because this book gives you the opportunity of it.
