Frankenstein-Mary Shelley

Synopsis

The story begins with captain Robert Walton who has a magnificent but at the same time insane plan, he wants to hire some Russians to sail to the North Pole. But unfortunately, the ship in which they move gets stuck in ice. There he begins to write letters to his sister in England, he was looking forward to a partner to be with him, despite the fact that he was surrounded by the entire ship's crew. A man boards the ship and it was then that he realized that the wish of having a friend on board had come true. This man was named Victor, what Walton didn't know was that this man was a bit crazy. Walton told his story. Víctor’s parents would adopt a young girl so that when she grew up she would marry Víctor. Once he gets to university, he chooses a career that has a lot to do with the philosophy of nature and chemistry. In just a couple of years, he manages to figure out how to bring life to a body that has been made from pieces of corpses but later regrets it. Once he returns from Geneva, his town, Victor's younger brother, named William, is killed. One of the servants of the Frankenstein family named Justine was accused of this murder, for which she is executed. When Frankenstein ran away, he could tell that he was very ugly. Everybody ran away as soon as they saw him, except an old blind man. When he crossed paths with William, he killed the boy out of revenge. Basically what he believed was, that he was created just to be always alone and constantly rejected, so he asked Victor to create a friend to be with him.

Personal Opinion

I think that I’ve read better books than this one, but I find it interesting and entertaining since it is about mystery and you are intrigued. I would recommend this book to people who are keen on that type of books and like mystery.
