Synopsis
Antonio is a Spanish journalist who suddenly received a call from Jason, a friend who has been living in New York for a month, telling him that he had to go to New York to visit him. That was an exciting call for him, since he has been wanting to go there for a long time to see what the city where his father grew up is like. He managed to get to an agreement with his boss. He was going to write an article called A Foreigner in New York in order to live there for a month. Jason introduced him to his friends who in the end were his friends too. With them he did many activities, one of them was going to see the New York basketball derby where he took a picture whith Woody Allen. Furthermore, he fell in love with Elaine, a friend of his. 2nd of January was a sad day for him as he was going back to Spain. However, he was returning in the summer to see his friend perform in the theatre. That summer he did cultural activities like watching concerts on Central Park or watching sooftball and back in Spain, Elaine came to visit him. He found that New York is a very multicultural and busy city, full of activities to do.
Personal Opinion
From my point of view, it was a pleasant book to read, as it has an easy vocabulary and the plot is entertaining. Definitely, I want to catch the first flight to New York!
