SYNOPSIS
Christy Brown is a young Irishman who has been living with cerebral palsy since birth. Despite the social rejection he suffers daily, Christy learns to write and paint using the only part of his body with sensitivity, that was his left foot.
PERSONAL OPINION
This is one of the loveliest books I have ever read. In the first chapter, in which the author describes the unstinting love and support that his mother gave him when he was a paralyzed child believed to be mentally disabled, had me shedding tears as I read in my house. To my mind this book is highly recommended to see life from another perspective.
