SYNOPSIS:
Bud Corliss, who is the protagonist, wants to be rich and have a lot of money. The scene starts in aroom that is near to the Staddord University campus. Bud and a girl, whose name is Dorothy, are in the room. The situation is not good, because she has told him that she is going to have a baby. He is angry, but he doesn't tell her about his emotions. Dorothy is Leo Kingship's daughter. As his father works in the copper industry. Bud thinks of a plan to seduce Dorothy to marry with her so that he gets a lot of money and is rich.
Then, he plans Dorothy's suicide, but pretending Dorothy has been the one who has committed suicide. She has a sister, whose name is Ellen Kinship. When she returns to university where Dorothy studies and sees that her sister has committed suicide, she isn't satisfied with this because, two days ago her sister had sent her a postacard where she had told her she was so happy. In this moment, Ellen starts to investigate hes sister's death.
For many months, Carliss didn't go out with girls but, suddenly he is interested in Ellen. She tells him that she knows that he has killed her sister and he kills Ellen. Gordon is Ellen's friend and he and Leo Kinship want to justice for Ellen's and Dorothy's death. When Bud Carliss gets to know that two men know about the crimes he commits suicide.
PERSONAL OPINION: I really liked the book, there is a lot os mistery and while you are reading, you want to know what is going to happen. Irecommend this book to people who like mistery and emotion.
