My left foot-Christy Brown

SYNOPSIS: My left foot' is a true story, which tells us about the life of Christy Brown. He was born on the 5th of June in 1932 in Ireland. At first, everybody thought he was a normal baby, like everyone else. But it was not like that. His mum was the first to notice something strange in him. Exactly, when Brown was four months old. That was when his mum noticed that his head fell backwards every time his mum tried to feed him. So, his parents decided to take him to the doctor. Then they found out that their son suffered from cerebral palsy. His mother tried to help him in everything she could, trying to improve the situation little by little, but it was impossible. Despite the problem he had, he also suffered social rejection from his friends, that is, they laughed at him. Although he had problems, Christy learned to write and paint using is left foot. For example, one day he took a piece of chalk, and he painted an A on the ground.
When that happened, his mother, his father, and everyone knew that Brown would evolve, and that is how it was, thanks to some treatments, Brown improved his speech and joint movement. He never gave up and one day he became one of the greatest Irish writers.

PERSONAL OPINION: In my opinion, everybody should read this book, because it teaches us not to give up and helps to understand how hard suffering this illness can be.
