the sisters visit a sick and poor family, they meet their neighbour Laurie, Beth plays their piano - and they all become great friends. These mentioned and the rest of the little stories the book tells make it heartwarming. Eventually, Laurie asks Jo to marry him, but Jo, a very independent women whose passion is writing, rejects him. Later on, he ends up marrying Amy, the younger sister. Jo starts to regret her decision, but many sad and happy moments after, Jo marries another man with whom she opens a school for children teach them her passion.
PERSONAL OPINION: I personally loved little woman so much, specially for the Jo and Laurie storyline. All the raw moments described in the book are what makes me love it so much such as the death of Beth, making the story have a realistic and emotional touch, to connect with the characters. I especially loved it because it is not cliché.
