Synopsis
In this book Nick behaves a little bit in an unexpected way, as it may appear to be the typical straight boy. Nevertheless, throughout the story he realizes that he might be attracted to Charlie. This type of relationships are not the "usual" ones, so people may be surprised by the story. I believe that this type of books are very important as they deal with issues that noweadays need to be normalised in society such homosexuality. Despite not being the main topic, the characters mental challenges too, such as anxiety and depression. It is without a doubt a book that contains serious ideas that the writer wants to be relevant in the future. As the book I have read isn't a novel but a comic, the writer doesn't describe the setting because they are drown at the background. I love the pictures as it is everything like in American films. But, the best setting for me is the one in page 237 because the room in very elegant and it has a big amount of architectural details, and the lamps are also very classical. If I could interview the author of this reading, I would like to aske where this story came from, and whether it is invented or based on real facts. I would love her to respond that it is the story she lived when she was at highschool.
Personal Opinion
I particularly like that I found it easy to read despite not being used to reading in English, and I think that this type of books are very appropiate for teenagers because they show us different relationships and domebody might be refflected with Nick's feelings.
