SYNOPSIS:

In a world where three communities: Humans, Weres and Vampyres liFe in a very fragile peace, Misery Lark is the daugher of the councilman of the Vampyres. When she was little, her father forced her to live among humans and in exchange, a human would live among her community. Thanks to this agreement, the two species would be able to avoid a war. She was supposed to go back to the Vampyre community once she stayed ten years in the opposite side, but when she realized that she no longer fit with her species, she decided to continue living her life among Humans, accompanied by her only and closest friend: a Human named Serena. However, one day Serena disappears, and months later her father convinces her to marry the Were's Alpha, who she suspects, has something to do with her friend's disappearance.

PERSONAL OPINION

I personally loved this book, to the point of giving it five stars. The characters' personalities are very interesting and unique, specially Misery's. The plot is very entertaining, as well as the characters, but in my opinion, it lacks of some twists. There is supposed to be a big secret, but anyone can discover it in the first fifty pages. However, it is so good that you won't give importance to these details.
